Jason,

Is it possible to block repeat responses to surveys? This would have to be done using IP addresses, and I know it would not totally solve ballot box stuffing due to DHCP, but it might help.

Of course, it might violate a primary rule of the Dems, Vote Early, Vote Often!

Hey, that's my line!

There really isn't a way to make the surveys 100% foolproof.

I am (very slowly...) working on one that requires a login (maybe your forums login...) to take the survey. Much more comprehensive.

Problem is that I am sacked in at work with more project deadlines that keep appearing as more people get involved with it. That is the problem of working for a government contractor, the job is never done.

Hey, Mike

You Repubs have all the money, we have to do SOMETHING to even things up! Mayor Daley in Shy-town did it right - register names in the local boneyards and record them as Dems! I'd rather be dead than vote Republican anyway! (just kidding!)

The current survey does check for ballot stuffing using your IP address. It's not perfect, but does keep someone from repeatedly voting over and over. You can't block them completely since so many people are behind proxies these days. I've noticed that AOL proxies almost everything now using "transparent" proxy servers. If we made the ballot stuffing even more secure, only a handful of AOL users would be able to vote (for example).
