it all depends on if you have your bump stops on or not! i dont have mine on and have ruinied front packs before /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif from what i see on my shock the most i have seen on it clean was abot 4-5" from where it sits. so i would say on mine about 6" on mine. i have lifted the truck off the ground by the frame and it only dropped about an inch.

A Range Rover has 12" travel....somewhat firm around town; magic carpet in the rough.

Any capable 4x4 wouldn't be far from 12", but there appears to be no spec for my truck (stock travel). Maybe the F series shouldn't be accused of being articulate.
