I've had the X for about a year now and it drives good. Looking to upgrade the suspension to improve towing handling and stability. I tow a toy hauler that's usually in the 9 to 10K range with a heavy tongue weight usually 1100 to 1400 pound range depending how it's loaded. I've been reading about changing the springs to V and B, upgraging shocks, and rear sway bar. My question is there stages I can upgrade the suspension or do I need to do it all at once?? I would like to do as I can afford to do it. I already have a rear sway bar so I thought I would start with 30mm bar and then work into maybe the front spring change and then finally rears. Let me know your thoughts.

You really need to first decide on what wheels and tires as the Ex needs larger..then you can build the suspension to clear the tires. Its hard to piece meal it as its a system..changing one parts usually requires the others to work..a little depends on the height needed. We specialize in fixing the Excursion handling problems..PM sent

Thanks for the quick reply. I've read many of your posts regarding your suspension upgrades. I haven't seen much about the tires and wheels but I guess it makes sense. I have 285 16's on the X now but I will have to measure the rim size. I will need to replace tires soon so this may be a good time to the tires and wheels together but of course that will delay the suspension stuff for a while to save up. I just want to make sure I have plan together and if there is a way to do things in a certain order I could do them in stages.
