Start the engine, if the tach is working the needle moves /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. RichardCranium

There is a relay on the drivers side fender area that relays impulses from the tach and the baro, and the FIPL to the trans computer if you have automatic, and straight to the tach if not. The terminals on the relay get corroded frequently. A new one can be bought at local autoparts store. OkieG

My 88 E350 does not have a tach. What's the best way to add one?

Is anyone running this exact setup with the sensor and tach reader above? I have a 6.9 I want to add a tach to but I am sure its the same setup as the 7.3L. I am only concerned with highway and idling rpms.

Thanks,

J.R.
