Which way does the tapper go big end towards the rear? or big end towards the front? I alway thought the big end towards the rear with the wedge toward the front would be the right way. After looking at it if I put the big end towards the front it looks to turn the rear end upward putting less of a angle on the drive shaft.

Thanks for any help.

Put down the crack pipe Jeff... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Taller end to the rear.

This lessens the pinion angle (what you want).

ON EDIT:
I just saw which truck you have. Why are you putting a tappered block on it. It didn't come with a tappered block, it doesn't need one unless you go REALLY high.

You have a two-piece rear driveline and a tappered block will screw-up the angles. Reconsider this.....
