Just test drove a 2007 with 58k miles, the ficm was 47.5-48 and ficm logic power was 12.5-13. The eot and ect was 2-7 degree difference periodically and was usually at ect 191 roughly and eot was 195-198. There was a little white residue around egr college cap but not much. How does the truck sound, plz give me your input , thanks. Gonna ask for a carfax and oasis report now. Thanks.

You could also check for exhaust gases in the cooling system, that will tell you if the heads are blown/leaking. Otherwise those numbers look good. I dont know where the coolant is leaking in your description.

You can check for exhaust gases in the cooling system with a block tester from Napa. Its a blue fluid you put in a vessel that sucks only the air from inside the cooling sytem, if it turns green, there is exhaust in the coolant.

i am not very mechanic like with working on engines and seems a little confusing, it sounded wierd idling at first back by the exhaust tip like there was a turbo leak or something but i have no clue what that sounds like... i have a duramax so its not even close. we took it for the drive and seemed fine idk

Mine has a turbo back 4" exhaust with a cat delete. I can hear the hissing you are speaking of. You probably hear the turbo going through it's paces as well. It's a sound conduit, a wave guide. You probably won't hear a turbo leak back there. It might be obvious under the hood though. If you have good boost when you romp on it on the hiway, especially uphill (20 - 30psi) you are probably ok there.

EGT/EOT different and the coolant puking are very important. Get the test for head gasket integrity. Look for trouble codes as well.
