Just looking for a manual for my "96" PS. When on ebay and that is why I'm posting. Ford and IH shop repair manuals are probably the way to go but there are a few options. One being "Ford Powerstroke Tips and Tricks Book Manual". Has any one used or can comment on this manual or recommend any other.

Thanks again..

Get the factory ones if you can (whether from ebay in paper or electronic format or from Helm Inc). I like the paper versions myself, although the electronic versions are nice for the pinpoint tests. I recommend getting the Shop Service Manual set (Body/Chassis and Powertrain/Driveline volumes), The Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (EVTM), and the Powertrain Control and Emissions Diagnosis Manual set (PCED, pinpoint tests for trouble codes, etc). The electronic versions usually have all three of these on one disc. Cheers!

Referring to Patrick's comment, there is a guy out of Minnesota that sells these manuals. I got my 96' F-250 factory repair manuals from him...
Woody's Auto Literature, , online auto lit and more!
Or his # is 507-527-2880
He was the cheapest that I know of!!
Have at it!!

Perhaps the most under-rated 'manual' for the Power Stroke was actually released as a Technical Service Bulletin. TSB 97-15A-1 focuses on the engine itself and has some great troubleshooting tips and flowcharts. You'll occasionally see it on eBay and I think it may still actually be available from Helm.

Cheers from Claremore, OK! :)
