The OP says he is 6' 2" but has trouble reaching the oil dip stick, and is so tall in the seat that part of his vision is cut off due to the windshield being too low? Go figure...only had mine since yesterday and have only driven it six miles from dealership to the house...so can't even react at this point.....just hoping this one is as good as my 2003 6.0L parked next to it with 515,000 miles completely stock and never touched the engine or transmission except regular recommended service. If this 2017 is as good...I could careless where the buttons are located but I think I will like the ultimate trailer tow cameras. I, like the OP, have been backing up to trailers and hooking them up for 40 years and can match ball to hitch perfect every time but always wished I could see what I was doing...should be a handy feature.

I suggest OP check out the Dodge and Chevy versions of the heavy duty pickups they may fit his liking much better.

Got to be real tall to reach those dipsticks. That's one of the reason I always have a 2 step ladder in the box. For that and to reach over the higher bedrails to get something out of the box.
I'm 6' and thought the windshield was a little low. Then I lowered the seat with those magic buttons on the side of the seat. Problem solved.

I agree completely.

As someone who has a casual interest in the new Super Duties, I find posts like his both interesting and illuminating.
I do as well. I am going to buy a Ford or a Dodge this year for my work truck and I am trying to determine which might be best. I LOVE my '13 F-150 STX short box/standard cab no-frills truck that is still steel...I am leery about these latest Ford Super Duty aluminum bodies and after all the 6L engine issues (we have a '99 7.3L), it has made me nervous about buying another Ford diesel. I did once buy a Dodge tho (not a truck)...still have it, but I hesitate to buy another.
