Hey guys, so I have a thomas compressor model #405ADC38/12 H compressor, seen alot of vaccume pumps that look just like this compressor being used on guys veggi super suckers. When I look this model number up online it is listed as a compressor/vaccume pump. Does anyone know what is required to switch it from compressor to vaccume or is it possible? Couldn't seem to find any info online. Was hoping to use it for a possible collection setup.

Thanks,

I tried hooking it up the wrong oposite way and no go, you would think it would work with the WOB-L piston design. Unfornutaly I just found a spec sheet for the 405 seris compressors and there is no rating for vacuum, its the identical looking 415 series that can do vacuum, so unless I found some missinformation it looks like I'm out of luck.

Thanks

I'm actually an R&D engineer for Busch Vacuum so i have some slight idea on the subject. I know for some of our pumps they can operate as a compressor or as a vacuum pump and that change is a mechanical difference in the pumps construction...

I also have a thomas 12v vacuum pump (107CDC20-898E) and it does both. Bought if fairly cheaply via ebay too. Does more than ample vacuum and can handle up to 35psi pressure.

I might be able to find some info out tomorrow on your pump but for now i need to get back to porting some subaru heads.
