Havn't had the bags on for even three weeks and hauling small equipment no problem...load the backhoe and to much lateral movement caused the bags to rub and fail! GRRRR!!! MACH1 told me that there is a kit that moves bags to the inside of the frame..anyone have pics? or links?
TIA
Tom

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif Wow mine rub on the frame and B & W hitch never the outside.Ive never seen them run on the tire. You airing them up before you load them? They do have a new kit out that mounts in the inside of the frame. Works great with the B & W hitch.

Guess were playing musical posts...LOL
Yes I would air them up before hand. Crazy thing is mine are "supposed" to hold 120PSI. I never put more than 60 in them and would run around empty with 20 psi...man the truck rode good like that.
OK so WHERE do I get the INSIDE the frame mounts?
TIA

Yup.
The 2071's don't work so well with duallies. That's why they say you need 7" clearance. The duallies wheels are way too close.

Anyway, some 2330's ought to work great and don't require any drilling.

Make sure to use the sleeve between the bump stop and the frame! (some people forget or overlook this)

Good luck.

It is an entirely different kit. #2330, I believe. It mounts inside the frame and requires no drilling. HOWEVER, there is not enough clearance with aftermarket 4" exhausts. Need to pinch the pipe a bit to clear the exhaust pipe.

I cant give an honest answer, because New Orleans roads are HORRIBLE!!!!

I can tell you that when I load the airbags to about 50psi unloaded, the rear end gets VERY firm.

I usually keep 5 to 10 in the back cruising around empty and I have noticed either good or bad.

I have not towed with them yet. Will be towing a small 1500lb load this weekend, and will be towing about 12,000lbs in about 2 weeks. THat 12,000lb load will be me getting the hell out of new orleans with everything I own!!!
