Coming back home at the speed of 71 mph. Tach was at 2250 approx. All guages reading ok. All fluids checked at home after this problem. About 12 miles out the engine CEL came on. engine started missfiring so I said it is the UVC harness problem. Had to get it home because I hate 105* heat. At the off ramp I let it come to approx. 20 mph and the CEL went off and everything became normal again. Engine behaved as normal. Got home and performed the smell test which was negative from my sniffer. I am thinking a replacement of both gaskets and a new set of UVC harnesses. Any thoughts from the forum. About codes: how long do the codes stay in the computer? Does anyone perform a code check for free? [I am cheap sometimes]. I am driving it to work in the AM so I will try this again.
Thoughts anyone. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

You could also check the wires going to your IPR and make sure the tin nut is tight.

[/ QUOTE ] I would most likely start there.. Take the covers off & you may find one of the harnesses partly unplugged....

G Fishen,

If it is the plugs you can get them from your local International dealer. I picked up the harness plugs from Ford and they couldn't supply the internal pins so went to IH and they had everything and you could buy individual pieces if desired.
