hey everyone

i just made a tight turn and heard some clunking noises... Both right and left. i was in the walmart parking lot doing circles and it was doing them and making loudish thumping noises.

Pulling into the driveway i heart the thumping noise when i was going slow straight forward...

i have an appt. tomorrow at the ford dealer to get the starter problem fixed... anyone have an dear why its thumping in the front end??

ugh...whats broken now :icon_mad:

thanks!

You didn't say if you where running a 4wd or not, but it could be a front hub that has not properly disengaged or perhaps a u-joint that is no longer loving life. I am sure there are other possibility's, but these are what I would be looking at if it were my truck. Good luck at the dealer... that makes my skin crawl just thinking about it...

Mine would do that when the balljoints were bad and the outter axle seal the fits on stub shaft was bad. If you grab the u joint behind hub does it move? If it moves the seal is no good.

yeah forgot that. it dose it in 2 wheel drive. and in 4. thinking its a bearing seal in the drivers side front... seems to be making the most noise.. or only what i can hear because of the engine.

dealerships hurt me to... expecially because ive been working on cars, trucks, tractors, everything else with an engine since i was about 8. but its in the teens... and snowing and i dont feel like getting out under it and messing around. also, warranty from the dealer i bought it at will cover the $$... i hope :)
