How can you tell when your Tie Rods are shot? My truck is all over the road and I am begining to think that the rod ends are the problem. I just recently replaced the ball joints and this seemed to help about half of the problem. I also just adjusted the steering box and that helped a bit but did not solve the problem. My truck does not have a steering stabilizer and I am thinking about trying to find a aftermarket one so if anyone can suggest where to get one at that would be great.

Jack up the front of the truck, grab a wheel at 3 and 9 and turn it back and forth, have someone look for play in the tie rod ends.
