Looks like the lowers are held in with a C-clip and the uppers are pressed in. Is there anything special about this operation? I'm guess it's pretty straight forward :ford:

I had a loose ball joint on each side. I may well replace all four. The Moog lowers were only a few $$$ more, but the uppers were almost 50%nextra over a generic brand. I spent the $$$ and got all Moog:thumbsup:

Everything will be new in the front end except for the steering components. Those mostly just need new boots.

All four are pressed in. When you buy the new ones, some parts stores will loan you the tool. The uppers are set into offsets that are used in the alignment, make a note of it's position before you take it apart.

I used that when I did my pivot bushings. Made the job easy. Would have been even easier if all the cups were in the kit. I may buy the kit from Harbor Freight so I'll always have it. Now where did i put my 25% off coupon

I bought the 4x4 kit. Its the same with two extra cups. Couldn't get the lower joint in as one cup was jet a bit too small. But I had a Dana 60 steering arm a two long bolts that made it all work out.

Some day I'm going to buy a nice two post lift
