i have 285/75-16 on stock rims and have found that 52psi fr and 45 psi rr (unloaded) has given me the best wear.

I suggest using a chalk test. You put a 1" stripe across the tire and drive it 20 yards or so to wear off the chalk. If it wears evenly across the tire---you're OK. For front tires it is a good idea to turn slightly to get a normal wearing pattern. I found that 75 was right for my Ford 6.0. which weighs 7380 and is pretty heavy in the front. Back tires came out to 55. I have E rated tires 265/70/17.

If you have them mounted on stock rims, you'll have to run lower pressures to get even wear. I run 42 (front) and 32(rear/unloaded) with 295 Toyos and stock rims in order to get semi-even wear. I know that the BFGs have stiffer tread plies so they might stand a little more pressure than the Toyos. I'm contemplating going to a 9" rim in order to be able to air mine up for better fuel mileage. At the current price of diesel, every little improvement will help ofset the cost of the new rims.
