I had it on the beach once before with 33's at 20 psi, do I still need to air down the 35's. I'm kind of scared because the guy I bought the truck from 3 years ago burnt up the torque converter on the beach. It took 5 trucks to pull it off the beach.

It depends on the condition of the beach and how soft the sand is. I always drop the pressure in mine to 30-35 psi. This lets the tire spread helping to keep you on top of the sand.

Lowest pressure you can do without popping the bead...if you have a way to re-inflate afterwards.

I saw a link the other day to a video showing a central tire inflation system for medium to heavy duty trucks. They showed a standard 2 axle semi stuck in sand. The tires were just spinning and hopping. They then lowered the air pressure from 100 to 20, and the truck just drove right out...
