Time for new tires, currently have 285/75/16 (hangkooks) and wondering if another size would have better performance . Other than looks not sure what else, truck is stock lift, 4x4, tow a 6500 lb travel trailer.

I like toyo myself. right now running open country M/t but probably not what you're looking for. my next tire will be open country R/T but my open country A/T was pretty good too.

My 295s have been fine, but not much different than 285s.

Hi.

We have 285/75 hancooks, and are very happy with them.

My husband bought our truck used with 315s, on a truck that had not been lifted. It was awful, noisy, rough, bad mileage, and the wheels rubbed. He decided pretty quickly. To replace them, and spent a few weeks researching the perfect size.
We have a 7.3l 2003 F250. He scoured several forums, and decided on the 285s ,rather than 295s from multiple complaints of rubbing with the slightly larger size.
Our mileage improved by a couple extra mpg, no noise, and disappearance of what we thought had been a steering problem. If you are getting good results with your tires, it might be better to stay with them.
