Have a 08 f350 and the original tires are Good Year Wrangler AT,I was told by tire gurus that they a harder tire but are a higher mileage tire then others but, during wet or snowy conditions they don't rate good . I found that out just the other day when for the second time the rear end of the truck lost traction around a curve at 40mph that I take all the time in my other truck under same conditions and spun out hitting a concrete wall and caused at this time and counting $11,000 dollars damage to the truck hit it in such away that there going to replace the entire frame ,my question is what tire will give me in this truck good road traction in snow and wet conditions.
WE don't want this to happen again .

Get yourself a TOYO or NITTO all terrain and get them siped. This only costs about $60 and they put little cuts across the tread every 1/4 inch or so. Over the road guys have been doing this for years. It works wonders in rain and snow. The big 3 put #&$*% tires on everything.

Toyo G02 Plus for a winter tire. Non studded and Toyo claims they perform close to a studded tire. They actually use bits of walnut shell in the tread, and they are a siped tire as well. I get excellent traction with these, and less road noise than a studded.

Sounds to me as if you need to just slow down, I wouldn't blame it solely on the tires. Your driving a 1 ton truck, not a race car. If you are driving to fast for the conditions, the tires aren't going to change much.

tires

There could be a possibility that the truck was going to fast and we talked about it several times but the the dealership collision shop told me i am not the only one this has happened to the tires are high mileage tires not meant for wet conditions go to the web site and the even have a poor rating for wet surfaces anyway we are going to go to a softer tire for the road and not for off road since we drive it 99% more on the road . this happened twice there is no more chances for those tires we are going to sell the as soon as we get
the truck back maybe even the rims go to the 18" rims instead.
