Anyone experiencing any problems with the Titan fuel tanks? Seems as the DTE is the biggest pain so far, but I want to know of any other issues. If you feel you need to PM please do so.

Thanks.

I know 2-3 that have installed them and really like the fact that the titan is a nylon/plastic tank vs the Transflo which is metal and 5 times as heavy. Titan won't rust either. I wish they made one for a gasser, but they only do diesel tanks.

I agree saving the weight difference between the two materials is huge especially after you add in the weight of the fuel. It can get close to 400 lbs of extra weight!!

No problems so far. The DTE isn't much of a problem either. The fuel guage stays on full for a long time (approximately 20 gallons.) Once it starts dropping there is about 30 gallons left, the same amount the truck used to have. Thus, once the guage starts to read the DTE is pretty accurate. Not exact, but close enough.

I have the 62 gal tank on mine and it is great for range but filling up is an event. The guage and the computer cant be programmed to the higher capacity which suck but I've learned that when the DTE indicates zero I have about 7 gal left.

For some reason on the F450 the tank burps bad when full - invaribly dump a qt or two on the ground especially on a truck island with big nozzle.

Call Ken Anderson at titan and see if they have solved it.
