Has anyone come to a fix for this. I have a 2014 F250 and while driving I loose all acceleration. I have to let of the throttle to regain acceleration. This happens almost every day 5 time or more during a 30 minute commute. When I tow my boat it is worse.
So far the dealer has down the following
1st visit : re flash
2nd visit: unable to reproduce
3rd visit: unable to reproduce and sent home with recorder( dont really believe they drove it as there was only 5 miles difference when i dropped truck off.
4th visit: return truck two days after 3rd visit with records, sr. mech was able to reproduce the issue with me in the veh. Replaced MAF
5th visit: Dealer said Ford Engineer came down and drove the truck with computer connect and said had to replace some braking sensor since they see the computer saying brake is being applied.
I am getting extremely frustrated as this has been going on since 13k (now at 20k) and this is a major safety issue.
Hi RwL_SoCal,My 2013 F350 SRW 4x4 (purchased new in 2014) has been experiencing throttle loss numerous times, and been in dealers a dozen times with only the result of "cannot verify"...
We had a ford tech come down and after I used a monitor to record it when it happen, they said it was one of the two "Brake On/Offf Sensors" that was bad. They replaced that sensor and I have not had the problem again. My 2013 F350 SRW 4x4 (purchased new in 2014) has been experiencing throttle loss numerous times, and been in dealers a dozen times with only the result of "cannot verify".
It happens after braking then throttle is lost for an extended period when trying to accelerate. (Single foot drive) When braking when traffic decides to nearly stop, release brake then turn into vacant lane, then find you are then powerless in the new lane when trying to accelerate to traffic speed before you are now an obstacle to the upcoming vehicles. Or slowing to make a left turn in an uncontrolled intersection and after you are committed in turning across traffic to find you have no throttle.
Now, I do not change lanes when having to brake for traffic. The last time it happened I timed over 10 seconds before the throttle reappears. 10 seconds was timed after I realized the throttle was lost and then the decision to start timing.
The throttle loss, the wipers doing a single wipe frequently only when starting the vehicle (no rain sensor, courtesy wipe set to off), losing the command button function during trips or several days at a time, other Sync/radio related issues one being losing all sound to the speakers though volume control is showing on the display, makes the 62k truck in dire need of an exorcism.
Dealers state no abnormal data in override pids.
Unfortunately this weekend. coming back from a rodeo I worked at, the truck again decided to become an obstacle in the traffic lanes for other motorists. Fortunately, no one collided with my truck or others in avoiding me. I have decided the truck is not safe for me or others on the road.Hi RwL_SoCal,
When you were at the dealership for the throttle concern, did you take your tech on a test drive? How many miles are on your truck currently? I want to do some digging and see what I can do to help with all of the items you mentioned. Regarding your SYNC issue, I recommend reaching out to my colleagues on the in-vehicle technology team. Welcome to the forum, Fuelish Habit. I'm glad you'll be getting the truck into the hands of your dealer; be sure to come back and tell us what they find. I'll be here if you need any help after the appointment.2014 6.7 F450- 45000 miles on it. Transitioning from one freeway to another, curvy underpass about 50 MPH- Truck loses throttle response, engine goes to idle (600 RPM) and speedometer goes to zero, all while moving about 50 MPH- Traction control light comes on for a few seconds, then goes out. I have to pull over on the shoulder. Engine continues to run at idle during the entire event. I'm about ready to shut it off and "reboot" it when it suddenly responds to the throttle and off I go. About 300 yards later, same thing. Same traction control light for a few seconds and zero on the speedometer, even though I'm moving about 40 MPH. This time when I get pulled over, it starts to function correctly again and I'm back on the road. Have a service appointment at the dealer in 2 days...

Doug C,My truck exhibits the same condition and has since new.
Autonation Ford in St Petersburg Florida just can't seem to get it. Considering filing a Lemon Law Claim.
