So I am picking up the NEW TRAILER soon. Its big. I have also been looking at lifting my F350 a little, not much probably just a leveling kit and some 35's. Anyway wanted to see what everyones opinions and experiences are with a mild lift, larger tires, towing a 12K+ lb very tall tag trailer.

I have my flame suit on; but, with a quality lift, most trucks are more stable than stock.

I have pulled gooseneck livestock and flat trailers many thousands of miles with a 4x4 Chevy, six" lift, and 38.5" tall BIAS tires.

I never had any stability issues.

I've got a 4" and 35's and pull a 8-9k lb. trailer. As the other poster stated, different springs, shocks, bags, etc. usually improve handling/stability. It did in my case.

Good Luck,
Lane

The only problem will be loss of power with the 35" tires, the higher diameter takes the engine out of the sweet spot at highway speeds.

So whose kit is better for towing. I was looking at the DR leveling kit but I am really liking the Rubicon Express setup. I definately want to put in some traction bars to reduce my wheel hop and have got a connection that may be able to get me a set of 4" springs for the rear so I can remove the blocks. My preffered setup would be 2" brackets up front, 4" springs in rear with blocks removed, and air bags in rear to compensate for the 1200+lbs of tongue weight I run.
