I have the truck listed below. Stock last year 13,500 fifth wheel I would get 11.5 going 67 on the highway. This year same highway same trailer but with all the mods listed I get a measley 9. Cant have this. Is it the T/S 6 pos? Ive actually had alot of trouble with this thing switching settings whenever it feels also. Time for DP Tuner. Morale of the story is I didnt want to spend the 500 for a DP so I bought this TS off ebay for 280. Mistake Now I'm gonna have a $780 chip. Oh brother. Any Ideas?

9 and change sounds pretty normal to me. I'd need a tail wind and going down hill to get 11.5. My trailer is 3,500 lbs lighter.

My truck has an auto so it's not quite the same. Before chipping I got about 10 mpg towing. I did the DP Tuner with some other mods and have been really happy with it. My mileage went up about 2+ mpg unloaded and towing. I tow a lighter trailer, (about a ton less) but I normally get about 12.5 towing when I top out at 65. If I get my speed down to 55 it really surprises my...about 14+ mpg without any steep hills. Speed makes all the difference. At $3.00 per gallon 55 seems a really reasonable speed to me. If I'm not doing hills I tow in econo setting and it runs great. When I'm doing steep hills I switch to the tow mode as it tightens up the tranny, just not quite as much power/ The mileage stays about the same.

Unloaded it gets about 23 mpg at 65.

Thanks guys. All filters were fresh for this run. And I was pretty nice to it on the right foot. No wind either. Anybody else out there that tows and has had no change with a DP tuner?

I got that T/S chip before my Bullydog and hated it. Truck did not run right. Just like you said it would change the engine at random. I took it back and got the 6 pos Bullydog and I`ve loved it ever since.

Every one I ask about mileage that I see filling up around here says they lost 2 to 3 miles to a gallon since they went to ULSD. In my case that is also true. I have a 01 supercab with a edge programmer and BTM muffler and K&N and use to get 19 to 20 not towing on the highway. Now I get high 17 teens.
