I tow a 34' TT, and used to tow it with a F250 PSD LWB. The trailer tracked very well with the truck. I now tow it with an '05 Excursion, and have some questions. The steering in the Excursion seems to be a great deal more responsive than my old(?) '02 F250. If I relax my concentration I find I'm on one side of my lane or the other in short order. Can y'all tell me if it's the SWB, the driver, or the Excursion?

The X doesn't have a short wheel base!! The X doesn't have as stout a suspension as the pickups. PSDExcursion has no problems and he tows 41'!! Although he uses a Hensley.
Probably stiffer springs, better shocks and maybe air bags. If you X doesn't have the rear sway bar you need to get it with that length of TT.
I'm sure others will chime in.

I now see you have some of the stuff I mentioned.
