Will I be okay to tow around 6000lbs. for a short distance(20 miles) with my extreme street or should I just use the aggressive tow? What do you guys recommend? Thanks.

You got gauges? Watch the EGTs. I have towed every so often with the Extreme Street, only because I didn't have my Xcal with me. If I did, I would have changed to Tow Aggressive. My suggestion is to change it up whenever your towing. It should keep the EGTs lower and give you better shifting specificly for towing.

I would switch to the tow mode so you are not putting all that power through the tranny. Egt's will be easy enough to watch, but your tranny guage sucks.

On level ground(do not know what you have) and no hard acceleration it will be fine. I towed 8k over 200 miles(stop&go) and never went over 1,000 degrees.

i.d told me i could tow upto 10,000 with no problem with ex-street. i still purchased the tow tune for heavy days.

I have an '05 4.30 Dually Tow Boss with SCT custum tunes.I tow 8000 lbs in hilly Northern Jersey on Extreme Street.I run anywhere from 65-85 mph on flat ground and pulling hills.I dont exagerate my numbers.What I have observed is 11.2 to 11.5 to the gal. while towing,No forced downshifts pulling said hills and incredably passing power.Under load up hill my egt averages 1000 - 1100.If I want to I can force them to 1350-1400.It all has to do with your right foot.If you need more charge 1/2 way up hill just feather into throttle while monitoring egt,you can go from 60-75 without getting into egt trouble if you apply throttle and monitor egt.If the temp starts to go close to red lift just slightly and roll back in and your temps will hang in the 1100 range while you are still accellerating.If you just lay into it without regaurd for egt it will climb into the danger zone quickly.You have the ultimate controll at your right foot.
