Trailer Brakes Keep Locking Up

Here's the deal...When coming to a stop, or slowdown, the trailer brakes lock up for an instant...then releases.

I know The brake controller is adjusted correctly as it just recnetly started to do this, but damn...it's got to be hard on the hitch...

any ideas as to why this hapens and what the remedy is would be appreciated.

Give us a little more information. Does it do this every time you apply the brakes? If you brake, let off for a few seconds, and them apply the brakes again, do they lock again? Is your controller adjustable? If so, if you adjust it lower, does it make it any better or do they still lock up for when you first hit the brakes?

I have one more question for you. When you first hit the brakes and it locks up, then does it release in a second or so or does it stay locked up until you take your foot off the pedal?
