I am going to change my fluid and filter in my e40d soon and also put a cooler on it. I do a fir amount of towing, nothing really heavy, 1-2 thousand lbs. So what tranny fluid should I use and what all do i need to put a cooler on it? Is there a kit? I didnt some searching and didnt find exactly what I was looking for. Thanks

Teh best ones I have used are the Tru-cool 4590 kit, there are pictures on my pics for install, it will install in the usual location adn use your stock lines, plus you can add PS cooler if you want. I would use a syn fluid.

mercron v, I like Moble one, The best cooler for the right price is the 99 ford take off cooler place it in the front bumper. It will look like ford did it, and if you want to up grade with a intercooler you wont have to move it later. You can call Brians truck shop (bts) to back up me up

I doubt Brian would back you up on that choice. That cooler is one of the smallest ones Ford made and performs poorly. What you really need is a cooler from a 6.0L truck. It is MUCH larger.

I believe montster meant the V10 transmission cooler from a Super Duty.
