I just had my E40d built now when I put the chip in race position it shifts really wierd. At WOT the first couple shifts are normal but it kicks down a gear the kicks back up. I guess if it was like a manual I can get through first and third with no problem then after that it would be as if I was in 5th gear and down shifted to 4th all while doing the same speed and rpm's.

I didn't know if was in the program (TS Performance burned by Beans) because on stock it's fine but I never had the problem before with my tranny. But he did alot of upgrades to it such as the 6 steel planatarys, triple disk TC, 7qt TCI tranny pan and tons of other things.

I'm just wondering if ppl that got the BTS trannys or ones upgraded did yall notice your truck shifting different with the same chip?

race is meant for straight line floor adn go, the tranny will shift a bit weird at part throttle, either leave the TC open longer, hold gears higher or short shift, and drop down a gear at the slightest throttle pressure.

Yeah we went down a straight road when testing it. And held the throttle down after the first shift. I called Mr. Dusty at Beans and he said he'd look at the chip to see if anything can be adjusted. That's why I love those peeps at Beans!!

If the upgrades included the pump, then the chip maybe adding to much EPC pressure. Let them know whats in the tranny when they burn the chip. Sounds like you have two clutch packs in partial apply instead of 1 in apply and 1 in exhaust (release).

get the chip reburnt to match what you got in the tranny now or you'll burn it up. That tune was for a stock tranny. You've modded it now and upgraded hard parts inside like RacerX said you're probably over doing your line pressure with software and hardware.

My tranny burnt up after I bought my truck due to this very same issue.

Yeah I'm sure Mr. Dusty over at Beans will take care of it. I don't have the chip in there now and it still takes awhile for it to go into overdrive but at least it's not kickin back in forth into it. And Brian... Go Gators!! I hope Mr Ryan and Mr Dusty aren't Vols fans they'll probably make a tune in my chip that plays Rocky Top outta my stacks.
