Ok, so I broke down and had my A/C serviced yesterday because I was at the limit of my tools and knowledge.
When I'm driving it home, I notice that it doesn't want to come out of first gear (E40D auto here). It does eventually, but not normal.
I check the fluid when I get home. Low. I fill it up.
Didn't drive it again until today. Same problem. I can go up to 3000rpms and no shifty into second. If I back off it will eventually clunk into 2nd. It has the tricumulator springs, so a firm shift (especially when coasting) is normal.
It seems to shift into the other gears normally, including OD.
Any ideas?
Could a loose chip cause this?
