how many quarts are u suppose to put in the truck in my sig? i had a ford dealer ship do a trans flush and i now have a leak from the pan/gasket i think. could this be because of an over fill?

It really varies on how much. The fluid level stick should be an indication to if it is properly serviced. I usually check when up to temp, but the indicator allows for cold too.

Make sure you are checking it with the engine on and in park.

It wasn't a full flush. The trans pan was dropped and replaced because old 1 had stripped drain plug. I believe he only use 5 and 1/2 quarts. It shows on the middle of the drip stick when its hot.

Dropping the pan should take 8 quarts.

ok but if it shows good on the dopstick it should be fine right? any ideas why its leaking??

Did he use the re-usable rubber over steel gasket or the cheesy cork gasket that came with the new filter?

I'd recommend to have the dealer check the torque on the pan bolts. If that isn't it, then the gasket may have been installed incorrectly or may be broken.

im betting its the gasket because all the bolts are tight and it was a black gasket that came with the new pan.
