I don't understand how the cooler can suddenly get plugged without a lot of something letting loose inside, like clutch material. Regardless, this is a moot point for me now. And that is all I have to say about that...nothing more I can do.
It probably won't get clogged. But a cooler line could get hit by something and stop the flow.

Well at least I got my money back on that counterfeit part...what a cluster that was. But I'm good with the way it turned out.
Lesson learned...beware of a faulty bypass valve causing higher than usual temps and don't get burned by fake vendors if you can help it.

I have messed up some of the threads while deleting my cooler bypass on my '99.5 7.3 powerstroke.
I was wondering if you could share what size brass fittings you used and drill bit/ Tap size.
I'm nervous to do this but really the only option at this point.
Thank You in advance for any advice/info you could offer.

Been out of town but post 27 should help you out some. It's been quite a while since that fiasco...good luck fixing it.
