Got my scan tool to work today and got a P1748 code. The scan tool (from obd-2.com) says its a pressure control solenoid A. Searching has revealed that it is an EPC malfunction code. Anyone know which one it really is? How serious is it? Would having a Transcommand or other line pressure booster cause this code? The tranny did get hot about 2 months ago from towing 11,000 lbs. but it doesnt seems to slip at all.

Thanks for the help. Hopefully I didnt kill the tranny, my wallet cant handle that right now.

Sometimes some of us are doing other things.

The EPC and pressure control solenoid A are the same thing. It's the solenoid that controls line pressure.

A wiring device that boosts line pressure will cause this code.
