Time to change transmission fluid, I feel like a dumbass for not having written this info down before... Or maybe I have and I lost it.


Anyway, want to drop the pan and swap the internal filter. About how many quarts of transmission fluid will I need to completely refill the system?

About 6-8 quarts. And it's a waste of money to change the internal filter. Make sure to change the remote filter, that one needs to be changed.

You should update it to the 08 oil pan and filter. It is at least a filter and not just a catch screen. As Mark said. Their is no reason to change the filter in the 05 pan. It does not filter anything smaller than a BB.
