It's time to change my transmission fluid. I've been running Mobil 1 Mercon Synthetic since I first got the truck (about 3 years) but when I started looking around could no longer find it. I did find Royal Purple Max which is Mercon rated (not Mercon V, as far as I can tell) - is this good fluid to use in place of Mercon? I saw a lot of posts here about the evils of Mercon V, and want to make sure I stay away from it.
