I'm having trouble with my 97 Ford F-250 shifting out of first gear. It has a Superchip set at 60 hp. It only does this when it hot, and not all the time. Anyone else having anything similar to this. The transmission was replaced with a new Ford transmission 34k ago and serviced regularly.

I had a simular problem minne would not shift out of 1st until you let off the throttle.Turned out the valve body had warped and fluid was leaking past the seal put double seals in it worked for a day or so then just bit the bullet and bought a new trans.

No 1 to 2? Possible causes, hanging valve, loose VB or feedbolts, Solenoid pack. Solenoid should set a code and flash od light.
If it does shift but slips in 2 the clutch plates and or sprag are in early failure. For no shift when hot from 1 I'd look at valve body first. Try an M1 start and move to M2 see what happens.
