My first starter gave up a few weeks ago at 183,000. I replaced it with a rebuild that was a dud. Put another replacement on and she seems to spin over like new, most of the time. I have had her sitting for a few days come out and hit the key, all I get is a click, nothing from the starter, the extra gages drop abit like there is some draw on the power going on. Come out and try her again a day later and she spins over and fires up great. I have had this happen after driving it for 2 hours and once after driving it for 15 minutes. Let it sit for awhile and hit the key, works great.
I have cleaned off the battery terminals and they are TIGHT.
Thoughts on what the check list for problems should be.
Thanks

X2 on all that. Also check ground cables, both ends. Clean every where that the battery cables connect. Good place to start anyway.
