just got it and it says if you use below 32 deg need bypass valve.
??? i thought there already was one on auto tran...do i need to get one????????

From what I understand our trannies already have a bypass valve. Check Bob Riley's site Click and read in his cooler section.

It's easy enough to check for on the tranny. Short tube running from near front to rear T connection for cooler line.

I installed the cooler without the bypass valve that was provided with the unit. I would not use anything that would restrict the flow; remember, you are already adding additional restriction with the new cooler. The oem bypass will still work as designed. I have not had any problems for the last 3 years.
