Anybody with any oppinions on moving a 9ft Lance Squire on the F250 stated in my sig due to the fact that i've got the 4" lift?

Mainly i'm concerned about my raised center of gravity, and, whether or not I would be able to lift the camper high enough with the stock jacks, or if I would need to upgrade the jacks to the get them camper on the truck. I really don't want to roll it over. Thanks guys!

Just thinking of loading a camper onto a lifted truck gives me the whillies. When I load mine on a stock truck it seams that the camper is just too high for the jacks to support it. I can't even imagine having to go an extra 4 or 6 inches up. But once it is loaded you should be ok as long as you know that you have it on the truck and don't get crazy.

You could put blocks or RR ties on the ground to set your jacks on, which would counter the extra 4" of height due to your lift.

As Bugman said, you'll have to drive like you have an increased center of gravity, because you do, even without a 4" lift. E rated tires will be something you may want to consider, too. And Rancho 90000 shocks. And good, fame mounted camper tie downs.

[/ QUOTE ] Yep, I figured so much..... Now it just seems like it's time to find the camper. I'm going with the Torklifts. Anybody with any install stories on the OBS trucks..... I'm looking forward to this. Thanks.

The Torklifts frame mounted tie down will serve you well. I have them on my rig.

Can't help you with the old body style, but on my 2002 the Torklifts were a piece of cake to install. Call the folks at Torklift- they'll help you out with any questions.

With any truck/camper, good shocks will make a huge difference. I can't emphasize this enough. Rancho 9000 dialled up to their highest setting make ALL the difference in the world in reducing body roll when my camper is on my truck. Air bags might be another item you'll want, based on how much your truck sags in the rear with the fully wet load.

Watch the weight of the camper you get as compared to the GVWR of your truck. Due to your lift, this will be something you don't want to grossly overdo.

I've got an 02 F250 CC with 4" lift and 35" tires, I put a Northland 8 1/2ft camper on mine. I put concrete blocks under the jacks to help accomidate the extra lift, bit scarry that far up. I also have torklifts frame mounted tie downs as well, they work great. I halled this camper twice without airbags, sways alot especially with sidewind. I installed airlifts airbags, levels the truck out and make a world of difference taking the swaying motion out.
