Today my girlfriend had my truck. While trying to park it she lost reverse, when I went to look at it, would not crank just made a clicking noise like the batteries were dead but it has 2 new batteries in it.

Any Ideas? Does it have something to do with the batteries?

Ok got it jumped so It is something electrical possibly the alternator.

Would a dying battery make the truck lose reverse like this?

I am no expert, but if the starter won,t turn over, I doubt theres enough power to control the electronic transmission either. Check your batteries voltage, if there low, I would suspect the alternator and/or a bad connection.
