I have had TS tunes and now run Jodi's. As stated Fuel 7 was a rowdy tune, but the rattling injectors concerned me. The power is much smoother, the motor doesn't feel taxed and I don't feel the need to flog it all the time!
I have (like many many others) tried different chips, even started with a lame Superchip 75/80 3k after I rolled my truck off the dealers lot. That was better than stock, but only started the neverending quest for the best combination within my budget and life expectancy.
I have had DI's chip, the first 4 posistion I bought. I loved it, regret selling it actually after falling for the hype of Fuel 7. One of my close friends still runs it in his truck and couldn't be happier, he has so much more self control than I do, hehehe.
I ran the TS 4 pos for a few months, the 2 lower settings were not detecably different to me, ran it in the 3rd (120) mostly, and Fuel 7 for fun. Makes lotsa smoke, launched hard, and I did like the downshift with the TC locked at lower speeds. Even though it rattled the TC/Flexplate bolts loose.
Then Jodi's tunes became the talk of this board, as did his attitude and interest in dialing each truck in. I called him, and much like my conversations with David Lott, he (they) didn't rush me, or 'TELL" me what I needed, but suggested some options.
Could I get a gnarlier burn? Yep, could spend more $$$ and go faster, but I don't think I could be any happier than I am now, for NOW.
I laid down an acceptable 14.7 at IRP last fall, without unloading any weight, or lowering fuel levels, or any of the other simple things that improve et's. Basically only intake/exhaust and programming. Haven't run it with the BB turbo, so .................
