I currently have custom tunes from 5startuning.com for my 01 E350 7.3 (and in my past V10) and couldn't be happier, have you looked into them?
I'd recommend without hesitation.

I wonder because everything in my van(2003 7.3) is stock.

The exhaust is still 3.5inch and only Walker muffler was added.

Is it better to change the exhaust system to 4inch or really is not big difference and I should be ok?
(I don't want use the plus 100hp-140hp option)

The 5startuning looks interesting but I don't see anything for ps7.3 vans there.
And I'm not living in states so probly gona be harder to get what i want from them.

Where are you from?

Best would be a 4" turbo back with or without flow through muffler but if you dont have EGT problem and your happy with your 3.5" well keep it.

DP, gearhead or PHP are the most popular for tuning a 7.3

With most turbo vehicles a free flowing exhaust is helpful.
My E350 is all stock except for the 4 inch turbo back exhaust, my strongest tune is 80hp.

Don't worry 5Star does custom tunes for vans, I'm proof LOL.
As for simplicity of installation of a tune... plug device into OBD2 port and press a few buttons and turn the key when prompted. It's much simpler than the DP tuner I had and was also disappointed with.
Contact them and mention me, not sure if that helps but...maybe?

If I'm not mistaken, they can email different tunes for you to use.

I'm from Victoria BC,

Swapping the exhaust is not a bad idea.

Personally i use the hydra chip with PHP tune. I got it from Cnc fab and love it.

BD diesel in Vancouver has the ts chip but not sure what tune they carry and from who

How much did you pay for your hydra?

Two months ago I was in Bernhausen Diesel Langley shop and they quote me 1200$ for the hydra php chip.

They said is the best option for my van but...everybody can say that.

Can you tell me more about that chip?

The hydra is normally $400. That's from php.
It's a great platform.

Stay the hell away from that shop that quoted you $1200 for it.

$400 US is more like $520 CAN right now, plus most of places that offer free shipping will not do it free to ship to Canada. That why it get close to the $600 CAN

OP, Like 79jasper said, stay far from that shop that quote you at $1200 for a hydra

When you buy the hydra, I'll come with all the calibration for all the PCM. Before installing the chip you will install the tune you want for the PCM you have.

You go to the sections you want to post in, then should have the option of "start new thread/topic."

You can install the chip, then put the tunes on. Either way. Lol
That's what's great about the hydra. Don't have to send it in for a reburn.
