I recently purchased some used Ultra lite auto meter gauges. I got the pyrometer with the thermocouple but thats it. I ordered the temp sending unit and boost kit from autometer. Im good with hooking up my trans temp but I dont know where to hook in the boost line??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif someone told me its the same as any vaccum line?? Any help would be great. Im also looking for an A pillar pod for triple gauges if anybody has one to sell or if you can tell me the best place to get one cheap that would be awesome. its a 94 f 350 cc. Thanks again for the help, you guys never let me down.

for the boost gauge there is a map sensor somewhere to the left of the turbo between the blower and the center of the engine. you can put a "T" in this line and run your boost kit from there. and not the same as vaccuum because then you would be measuring how much vaccuum the pump is making and that would be just a waste of your time. and there is always the option of drilling and tapping the whirlwind looking thing that goes from the turbo to the intake manifold and installing a fitting that connects to your boost kit.

as for the pod, egauges.com will probally have the best prices on the autometer ones, and they are the best quality. if you google gauge pods, you will find some cheap generic ones for ~10$, this is the on i used for a while, but it sucked too bad and looked very poor astecitally, (spelling?) but it did the job until i replaced it with a real one from autometer.

hope i answered all of your questions,

kevin

The boost line connects to the intake hat/pressure chamber. There should be a fitting there. OkieGringo

Is it a factory turbo? Yeah, there is a plug in top of the intake hat which will need to be replaced with a 1/8" NPT x 3/16" or so hose barb. Run a vacuum hose to your gauge.

Uh, radeon1314, map sensor? No comprende...

I thought that these trucks didnt have a map sensor?? I had an excursion that I hooked in that way. Thats why I was so confused, becuse there wouldnt be a map sensor on this truck.

i have an idi with no turbo, it is a 94, and the map sensor is there, but there is no line connected to it. maybe it was just added in 94 because this was the year the powerstroke was added and with yours being a 91, the sensor may not be there.

sorry for the confusion
