I'm posting here as well as the van section. Perhaps a 6.9er may have been in this fix too and now has an F series. I just installed a Hypermax turbo on a E350 flatbed truck conversion.
If you lay under the truck and run your hand up the turbo exhaust downpipe with the doghouse in place your hand will feel that the pipe touches the insulation on the inside of the doghouse for about 4" before the pipe bends away and into the turbo. I can't imagine you could run this setup pulling a trailer, in the heat, all day long without a problem. Can anyone suggest a pipe mod or a doghouse mod that has worked to cure this. I'd be happy to hear your solutions. Thanks in advance for your time.
ps I've just installed this turbo and haven't driven it yet.
