i was looking at craigslist for used turbo's, and there is a couple on there. but for my 7.3, is a bigger one required? because i'm mostly seeing turbo's off of small cars. would that work?

dont believe so have you ever looked at the difference in size of a diesel turbo compared to ones of cars big difference

well actually i seen a cummins stock turbo, that would work.

Thats a question that i have is. How big of a turbo can you put on this type os engine and how much boost will it take i have heard some will handle about 18psi no problem

well thats another thing, i Wouldnt want a really big one, considering its an old one, about 290,000 miles+

so maybe a smaller one would be safer for me
