I have an 06 f350 with 55000 miles on it I bought it brand new from the dealer.I had a service.truck for a long time.i just spent some time replacing my egr cooler .oilcooler blah blah.
I went to get it smoged good ol California.
And it failed my turbo keeps throwing underboost.
The messed up thing is sometimes she works over 40 and other times nothing any ideas it's really tickling me off something so so easy and stupid I can't figure out cause of the intermittent.which leads me to electrical.map sensor or something like that HELPPLEASE

Welcome to the Diesel Stop

The 6.0 uses a variable vane turbo. The unison ring ( the part that changes the pitch of the vanes) can stick and cause under/over boost which will light the CEL. You will have to remove the turbo to get things cleaned up. Unison ring sticking is more common than sensor failure.
