I was driving home through the Cascade mountains yesterday pulling my 8000lb fifth wheel when I heard a loud air hissing noise under the hood when climbing a hill. I pulled over and found a big rip in the blue hose that attaches to the turbo outlet. I shortened the hose and re-attached it but it blew off 1/2 mile later. Attached it again and supported the pipe that leads to the intercooler with some lock wire and it held. The turbo pedistal was replaced about 8 months ago. I wonder if the turbo and pipe were not lined up properly causing the tear in the hose. Is there an updated hose? Anyone else ever had this hose fail? My truck has about 25,000KM on it now. Thanks

I've got seven pesos that says it was over torqued and thus a ticking bomb. Clean, reinstall new cuff and torque to 9ft-lb. You'll be back in business.

D_R_C,
I read to post you quoted of 7/6
They except one of them are blowing the hose off.
What I think we are talking about is the actual blue boot has a tear in it.
When the boost pressure build up it is blowing out the pressure out the tear in the boot.
The problem is that it is not easy to find.
If you hear a low HISS under the hood, like a major air leak, CHECK YOUR BOOTS.
My tear was about 1/3 the diameter of the boot.
You can not interchange them as the top blue hose has an angle to it where the bottom one is straight.
