Yes I have bought two rebuild kits from him and recomended his turbos to others. Ron is like the "Jody" of turbos. He knows his stuff and is willing to help in any way. JMHO:thumbsup::ford:

Why... No reason to get a BB turbo unless your going to mod further...

Get one with a 1.00 exhaust housing and a WW and go on with life...

Well if someone is looking for an aftermarket turbo, most likely they are looking to mod their truck further, so why waste the money on a housing and WW?? Just buy a 38R and be done with it. U will be very happy with the 38R.....................................waiting on Joe to say buy the 38R with nothing but a 1.15 housing!

Because 1300 is a hell of alot cheaper then 1700 and then if you send your core in your only out 1100...

You get a turbo that will NEVER surge, with everything the 38r offers other then a BB center section, but is rebuildable...

And yes, if you get the 38r get it with a 1.15 housing.

We dont even know what his mods are or his goals for his truck are.

And u always go to the surge factor. I havent heard of anyone having surge issues with these 38Rs for well over a year now. So that surge issue is a moot point.

turbo

well i have a question that hopefully doesn't hijack the thread but i am looking for the posibility of a turbo change, i am looking for 400hp very reliable, no surge issues, and did i say daily driver. my stock turbo with WW will make some god awful noise when i am hard on the acelleration and the tranny shifts and rpm drops quickly. I feel this will grenade soon and whant to do something before i get parts into the intake. any sugestions. and how much will it cost me.
