Im looking at upgrading my turbo but I need some recomendations on what to get. Im looking at a guy to rebuild mine and install a ATS turbine 1.00 housing and a ATS ported compressor housing with my wicked wheel and turbo master actuator for $845 plus shipping. My questions, will the 1.00 housing be too large for my application with the mods that are in my sig? I plan on going big oil and larger injectors sometime soon but I dont want to kill my bottom end until I do. Which big oil and which injectors would yall recomend with the upgraded turbo? Basicaly im asking is what turbo and what else?

Just a question here, why do you want to run the ATS housing AND the wicked wheel? the wheel moves slightly less air or lets air by it reducing the chance of surge, the design of the ATS housing is such that is eliminates surge with the use of the later model stock wheel that will move more air. Just my suggestion, but ask around and see if you do indeed need to run that wicked wheel.

I'm no expert here, so wait for the experts to chime in. But with big oil and bigger injectors, and your high horsepower programs, you will exceed the boost levels of the stock turbos internals. My understanding is that you need to upgrade to a ball bearing turbo to be able to handle the boost levels.

the turbo set up you are working on is good for towing and keeping surge in check.but no real HP gain.
do you know if you got PMRs? if you do?, go with stage 1 injectors and if you feel you need big oil get the new stealth pump, with custom tunes.
why dont you call or check out Welcome to Outlaw Diesel :: Home they can help you in all your parts.

Well the WW and the ATS housing are what every other turbo builder are building in there perfomance. I figured they knew something I didnt but I see your point. I do know there louder than stock and if theres no power loss then I will use it (i bought one already).

Im looking for HP and Torque and not so much towing anymore. I have no idea what a PMR is so I dont know. Explain in dummy terms and I may be able to tell you:)

with ur added horsepower that will come with adding injectors and big oil you are going to need a stronger turbo to run all of that. id say spend the money and get a garrett gt38r

D66 will not fit a 01..its for '95's to early '99's.

You must check to see if you have forged rods, 400HP is getting very close to where the others will give out especally with some tunes that are out!!!
