just got back from a 800 mile trip towinn my 7500 pound trailer, i have a superchips 1805 programer, i tried the economy mode goinn down, it worked great lotts more power over stock, but on the hills i was gettinn turbo surge around 2300 rpms. on the way back i tried the tow mode, no surge but less power, on the tow mode the most boost i saw was around 18, on economy mode i saw up to 25 very easy. my tranny temps never went over 160 with either settinn, what do i have to do to tow in the economy settinn? to get rid of the turbo surge.

You could always go the cheap route and get a wicked wheel... 75 bucks... If you are ever planning on getting a larger turbo someday you can put the extra money towards it....

good luck,
Steven

Not too bad... I did mine... You can even do it while it is in the truck... Just get yourself some good tools and some good penetrating oil... First time doing it...probably min of 4 hours...

It does happen with chips and tuners... But I noticed it after I installed tha AFE stage II intake system. It is an open filter so you can hear the turbo more... I could of had the problem before the AFEII but I couldn't hear it due to the stock airbox???

Good luck,
Steven
It is over 400....
