I was driving the truck with the cruise set to 65 when the truck started surging like I was tapping the gas on and off. When I looked at the boost gauge it was going from about 5psi to around 15 psi over and over until I turned the criuse off. This was on a straight and flat road. Anyone else have this happen to them? The funny thing is this was on my way to the dealership so they can check out the buzzing noise when I shut the truck down. Which they told me was "NORMAL" but I brought my ipad and showed them the thread on this forum. They said it's a different noise and thats it's coming from the fuel pump cooler. I never heard of a fuel pump cooler. Needless to say my truck is now at another dealership that is taking care of the problem.

I too have seen this on my 2011 F-350 Dulley and it was the cruise. I kicked off the cruise, re-engaged the cruise and all was well.

My truck does that when I use the cruise control and I get the cleaning exhaust filter notice on the information screen . After a few miles it will go back to normal.

Just a thought, but do you all have the latest ECM update??? One of the flashes fixed some cruise control issues. I went through several regens while in cruise and this didn't happen. The first 2011 I had was built march of 2010 and the cruise control had issues...

Just a thought... You may be up to date and having this issue...

Mine is a Build date of 4-27-11 so yes it has current updates. I will just live with. because all i would hear is,the ck engine light aint on. or we cannot duplicate concern. and even if they could duplicate concern. they would say normal,or i don't know. best to leave alone at this time. Maybe it will grow out of its bad habit. you know thats what they push down our thoats how smart these trucks are. LMBO.

Hdslider you must bring your truck to the same dealer as me. lol This dealership even went as far as telling they cant have a tech in the truck with me due to insurance puposes. I said when I took the truck for a test drive before I bought it the sales man was in the truck whats the difference. He said you didnt own the truck we did. Well anyway like I said in my earlier post I now go to another dealership that couldnt stop laughing at that story. Im up to date on everything as well. That buzzing noise has finally stopped. Fuel pump cooler my ass.

I didn't stand for that lazy ass-ness from my last dealer so I found one that actually gives a crap about fixing trucks. They would do this crap with my '07, I'd bring it in and they would keep it for 3 days just to say we couldn't duplicate so it's just been sitting here for no reason whatsoever.
So when I bought the new truck I went to the old dealer and test drove an F250-350-350dually and had them all excited got them right up until they were wanting me to come inside for numbers and said no thanks I'm going somewhere else to buy but thanks for letting me test drive them.
The manager emailed me asking what he could do to sell me a truck so I sent him a picture of mine in front of the other dealership and just said too little too late thanks but no thanks.
Amazingly though, the new diesel techs were well aware of problems on the truck and wether it threw codes or not they worked on it until it got fixed.

Off the soap box... mine did the same thing a week ago and sure enough just like others were saying here. Only with cruise and usually with a regen.
