Resurrecting this thread, again

2002 F250 XL, Directionals not working

So..., if I'm blowing fuse #18 (turn signal), what's the most likely culprit? (No tilt wheel, etc). Multifunctional switch? I can't believe a faulty flasher is blowing fuses. I did not check the hazard lights, but will the next time I blow fuse #18 I'll check. I also want to keep a check on the weather (rain/snow)

Would you rule out the multifunction switch and the flasher? Should I buy a flasher anyway?
I was going to start with replacing bulbs and inspectiing for water leakage at the wiring harness (missing/corroded rubber seals, etc.) Again I have not confirmed it is water (don't drive the truck everyday/work in another state w/o truck). So, I was going to order all the bulbs for the truck (online) and replace them. Not even sure I know how to change the fronts bulbs (remove battery?). Anyways I'll let you know and thanks for the feedback

Update: Blows fuse #18 immediately after starting truck (no rain involved). Includes hazards. Where the wiring under the truck? I imgine it has plastic corrugated sheathing

FIXED- Replaced Multifunction Switch
(1) bought Multifunction Switch from Rockauto with 5% discount (Standard products ~$70) (2) Blocked truck wheels & disconnected battery (3) removed igintion (3) removed steering column plasic cover (2 of the 3 philip screws were missing - that took some time to figure out (they fell out I guess) (4) moved the top cover out of the way (4) replaced the Multifunction Switch.

My Solution was:
I was hit from behind (minor) but the wires at the trailer hitch took 9 months to wear and short out. Maybe the auto-body shop didn't install all the wire clips or maybe it was a NE weather and my use of the hitch but eventually a short occurred at the hitch. Suggest every body with this problem inspect the wires around the hitch and back bumber
